Role Overview

Farmwave is seeking an ambitious, execution-oriented Director of Sales & Customer Success to take complete ownership of our global revenue generation and customer support engine. Working directly alongside the CEO and closely collaborating with our Director of Hardware Operations, you will initially master and execute our CEO-developed sales process, directly securing customers and establishing our global support workflows.

As customer accounts and market demand grow, your role will transition from founder-aligned direct selling to building and leading a world-class global sales and customer success team—training reps on the sales playbook, driving inbound/outbound strategies with Marketing, and ensuring seamless customer support.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Execution & Process Mastery

  • Master CEO Sales Methodology: Adopt, refine, and execute the core sales framework established by the CEO, taking ownership of the global sales pipeline.
  • Global Revenue Generation: Drive direct sales globally across target agricultural sectors, managing key accounts, closing deals, and driving revenue growth.
  • Inbound & Outbound Strategy: Partner with Marketing to align lead messaging, qualify inbound leads, and establish targeted outbound outreach strategies for prospective buyers worldwide.

Cross-Functional Operations & Customer Support

  • Hardware Operations Alignment: Collaborate daily with the Director of Hardware Operations to ensure seamless handoffs from sales conversion to assembly, inventory allocation, and field deployment.
  • Support Process Leadership: Oversee customer support workflows, ensuring global clients receive timely technical assistance and high satisfaction throughout their lifecycle.

Team Leadership & Scaling

  • Playbook Documentation & Training: Onboard, train, and mentor new sales representatives and support specialists using the established sales and support playbooks.
  • Team Management & Scaling: Transition from individual seller to full revenue leader—setting team quotas, monitoring performance metrics, and scaling global sales and support capacity.

Key Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience: 5+ years in B2B sales leadership, business development, or account management (experience in AgTech, agricultural equipment, precision farming, or high-value technical hardware preferred).
  • Process Discipline: Proven track record of adopting, executing, and scaling structured, framework-driven sales processes.
  • Global Mindset: Experience or comfort managing international prospective clients across different time zones and cultural business environments.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work side-by-side with hardware, engineering, and marketing teams to align supply, demand, and customer expectations.
  • Leadership Aspirations: Ability and desire to transition smoothly from an individual quota contributor to a team builder, mentor, and executive manager.
