10.3 - American Board of Architecture Support Letter
From mid-2019 through April 2020, David served as the AIBD's liaison to the ABA. Umber Hanlon, Commissioner of the American Board of Architecture, has requested a letter of support from AIBD.
The ABA is working to establish an alternative route to becoming a licensed architect, offering a new pathway outside of the traditional NCARB process.
David Pillsbury, FAIBD, made the connection in 2019. As I recall, the board approved his authoring a support letter, but after searching, I'm unable to find a copy in our archives.
From mid-2019 through April 2020, David served as the AIBD's liaison to the ABA. Then this email was received letting us know that Ms. Hanlon had "lost steam and need[ed] to focus on making money."
The project appears to have been given a new lease of life, and Ms. Hanlon is asking for a new letter of support.
Ms. Hanlon has been invited to today's meeting and has confirmed she will do her best to attend. However, as she is teaching a class, she may not be able to join until 5:15 pm ET.
