36 Explosive Claims Put on Trial — Historical Evidence, Hidden Power Networks, Psychological Manipulation & the King James Bible
Anyone can do this, but most won't.#
“WHO REALLY RULES THE WORLD? THE CROWN, THE CABAL & THE ROMAN EMPIRE CONSPIRACY” is an extensively researched, Scripture-centered investigation that puts 36 explosive claims from a viral conspiracy infographic under historical, legal, psychological, and biblical scrutiny. Tracing allegations of a surviving Roman imperial dynasty through the Vatican, British Crown, secretive societies, elite political networks, international banking, and modern governments, the paper separates documented historical relationships from speculation, misleading connections, and unsupported claims of worldwide control. Drawing upon primary historical records, official archives, academic scholarship, documented covert operations, and the King James Bible, the investigation demonstrates that genuine corruption, imperial exploitation, financial influence, and political conspiracies have existed—without establishing the infographic's alleged unified global command structure. It also exposes how persuasive imagery, selective historical facts, and psychological biases can transform complex relationships into seemingly convincing narratives. Through careful examination of Daniel, Revelation, and biblical principles of truthful judgment, the paper distinguishes prophetic interpretation from historical evidence and challenges readers to question authority without abandoning discernment. Its central message is simple: Real power deserves investigation, real wrongdoing deserves exposure, but truth requires evidence—not merely suspicion, symbolism, or connecting arrows. Soli Deo Gloria.

ABSTRACT#
Who really rules the world?
It is a question that has troubled:
- political philosophers
- historians
- theologians
and ordinary citizens for centuries.
The question is understandable.
Governments have concealed operations from the public.
Financial institutions have accumulated extraordinary influence.
Religious organizations have shaped political events.
Empires have exploited entire populations.
Powerful people have sometimes coordinated their activities in ways that escaped public scrutiny for years.
The existence of hidden political activity is not in serious doubt.
The difficult question is how to distinguish a documented conspiracy from an elaborate theory built around real institutions but unsupported connections.
This paper investigates a widely styled conspiracy infographic depicting a supposed worldwide hierarchy of power.
At its highest level, an unnamed ruling dynasty allegedly continues the authority of the ancient Roman Empire.
Beneath it appear:
- Vatican City
- the Order of Malta
- the British Crown
- the Order of Rose Croix
- the Order of the Garter
and the Jesuits.
Below those institutions stand:
- the Rhodes-Milner Round Table
- Fabian Society
- Privy Council
- Le Cercle
The diagram attributes the creation of major political ideologies to this network and ultimately describes modern sovereign states as colonies of the Crown.
Its claims are sweeping.
They encompass:
- religion
- monarchy
- law
- banking
- education
- medicine
- news media
- capitalism
- Marxism
- fascism
and international government.
Rather than accepting or dismissing the diagram wholesale, this study examines its claims separately, distinguishes actual historical relationships from presumed control, and asks what kinds of evidence would be required to substantiate each allegation.
The investigation also considers how diagrams persuade, how conspiracy beliefs develop, what real documented covert operations can teach us,
and how biblical passages concerning:
- Rome
- Babylon
- political power
- truth
- judgment
should be interpreted.
Central finding:
The diagram incorporates numerous genuine institutions and several historically meaningful networks of influence.
However, the available evidence does not establish its proposed unified world-command structure.
Some of its historical relationships are misstated, some collapse distinct legal institutions into one entity, and others conflict with established chronology.
The evidence does not support the inference that all modern:
- governments
- financial institutions
- political ideologies
- cultural organizations
are subordinate to a continuous Roman imperial dynasty.
That finding does not deny:
- imperial exploitation
- covert political coordination
- financial conflicts of interest
or institutional corruption.
It requires such matters to be demonstrated through evidence rather than assumed from a diagram.
PART ONE — BEFORE WE FOLLOW THE ARROWS#
1. What exactly are we investigating?#
The original graphic is constructed like a corporate organizational chart.
At the top is a box labeled:
“Ruling-Dynasty — Continued directly from that which ruled the ancient Roman empire.”
Six institutions appear immediately beneath this alleged dynasty.
Four political or policy networks occupy the next level.
Below them, two boxes claim that these interconnected institutions created major ideologies and political-economic systems.
The diagram then descends toward a larger, central box labeled:
“The Crown — (Key Tier-One Apparatus of the Roman Empire).”
From this supposed headquarters, arrows connect to:
- global law
- finance
- politics
- media
- academia
- medicine
- corporations
and several modern nation-states.
The visual message is unmistakable: apparently independent institutions are presented as subordinate branches of a single, concealed ruling system.
Yet the image does not identify its author, provide a publication date, list primary documents, specify the meaning of the colored lines, or name the supposed ruling dynasty.
Its unusual wording provides a possible means of tracing its publication history, but the source searches conducted for this study did not establish a reliable original author or earliest edition.
This remains a provenance question rather than a resolved fact.
The title of this paper refers to 36 claims.
That is an editorial organization, not a claim that the infographic itself supplies exactly 36 numbered propositions.
Closely related boxes and overlapping institutional assertions have been grouped into 36 testable units.
2. What would constitute proof?#
Consider a hypothetical allegation that Organization A controls Organization B.
A photograph of members attending the same meeting might prove that individuals encountered one another.
It would not establish institutional control.
A shared donor might demonstrate a financial connection.
It would not necessarily prove that the donor dictates policy.
A formal charter giving Organization A authority to appoint Organization B's leadership would be much stronger evidence of structural control.
Authenticated correspondence containing instructions, records demonstrating compliance, or a documented chain of financing conditional on obedience could strengthen that finding.
The fundamental categories must remain separate:
Relationship |
What it establishes |
|---|---|
Shared symbolism |
Similarity of imagery or tradition |
Shared membership |
People participating in more than one institution |
Historical influence |
Ideas or practices passing between organizations |
Financial connection |
Funding, investment, donations, or transactions |
Legal authority |
A formally recognized power to direct decisions |
Operational control |
Documented ability to command or determine conduct |
Complete ownership |
A specific legally and economically defined ownership interest |
Moving from one category to another without evidence is the central reasoning problem in this infographic.
Association is not automatically authority.
Influence is not automatically ownership. Ownership is not always operational control.
3. Our evidentiary method#
The investigation uses four classes of sources.
Primary records include:
- treaties
- statutes
- archived correspondence
- company documents
- constitutional records
- official investigations
Academic scholarship helps reconstruct historical developments and assess disputed interpretations.
Institutional records establish:
- formal structures
- founding dates
- stated responsibilities
- governance arrangements
Such records are valuable, but organizations should not be treated as infallible witnesses concerning their own conduct.
Investigative reporting can expose concealed activity or identify research leads, particularly where public documents are incomplete.
Its findings must still be evaluated according to their underlying evidence.
Each allegation is assessed using one of four conclusions: verified in its relevant historical particulars; partly true but misleading; unsupported by the evidence examined; or contradicted by established documentary history.
An unsupported allegation is not logically identical to a proved impossibility.
Historical investigators regularly confront incomplete archives.
Nevertheless, an extraordinary positive claim cannot be established simply by asserting that supporting evidence is hidden.
PART TWO — THE MISSING TWO THOUSAND YEARS#
4. Did the ancient Roman ruling dynasty survive?#
Claim 1 — An unnamed dynasty continues the authority of the ancient Roman Empire.
The ancient Roman political system underwent repeated transformations.
Rome passed from republican government into imperial rule.
Imperial succession did not consistently follow one hereditary family.
It involved:
- adoption
- competing dynasties
- military intervention
- political selection
- civil wars
- usurpation
The western imperial government traditionally ended in AD 476.
The eastern Roman imperial government continued at Constantinople until 1453.
Rome's political and cultural legacy survived through:
- institutions
- laws
- languages
- religious traditions
- architectural styles
and later claims to imperial legitimacy.
But these are different forms of continuity.
A medieval ruler could adopt Roman titles without inheriting the entire ancient Roman state.
A church could preserve Roman administrative terminology without becoming the continuation of Caesar's political office.
A monarchy could inherit aspects of Roman law while developing through its own constitutional history.
The British monarchy's origins and succession can be studied through:
- Anglo-Saxon kingdoms
- the Norman Conquest
- medieval royal institutions
- parliamentary development
and later constitutional change.
None of those developments establishes an uninterrupted secret dynasty directing both ancient Rome and modern British institutions.
The diagram never identifies the alleged family.
It supplies no succession register and no documentary transfer of imperial sovereignty.
The House of Commons Library's study of the Crown and the constitution provides a much better starting point for the modern institution's legal history.
Finding:
Roman institutional influence is historically established.
The proposed single ruling dynasty is not.
5. A chronological test#
The following milestones help expose the scale of the proposed continuity:
Date |
Historical development |
|---|---|
AD 476 |
Traditional endpoint of the Western Roman Empire |
1113 |
Papal recognition of the Order of St. John, ancestor of the Order of Malta |
1312 |
Papal suppression of the medieval Knights Templar |
1348 |
Founding of the Order of the Garter |
1453 |
Fall of Constantinople |
1540 |
Papal approval of the Society of Jesus |
1694 |
Establishment of the Bank of England |
1848 |
Publication of The Communist Manifesto |
1884 |
Founding of the Fabian Society |
1910 |
Launch period of the Round Table movement and its journal |
1919 |
Mussolini establishes his fascist movement |
1928 |
Founding of Opus Dei |
1929 |
Creation of Vatican City State through the Lateran Treaty |
1946 |
Nationalization of the Bank of England |
1975 |
Vanguard begins operating |
These dates reveal a serious difficulty. Some organizations supposedly responsible for creating historical systems came into existence centuries after those systems developed.
One can propose an older institution operating through successive intermediaries, but that introduces additional historical claims, each requiring evidence.
A chronological gap cannot be resolved merely by drawing a connecting line across it.
PART THREE — THE INSTITUTIONS AT THE TOP OF THE PYRAMID#
6. Vatican City, the Holy See, and the Catholic Church#
Claim 2 — Vatican State belongs to the overarching imperial structure.
The graphic specifically labels Vatican State as distinct from the Roman Catholic Church.
That distinction has a factual basis, although it needs careful explanation.
The Holy See is the central governing authority of the Catholic Church and possesses international legal personality.
Vatican City State is the territorial state established to secure the Holy See's independence.
The Catholic Church is the wider religious communion.
According to the Vatican's own institutional explanation, Vatican City State came into existence through the Lateran Treaty of February 11, 1929.
The original Lateran agreements identify Cardinal Pietro Gasparri and Benito Mussolini as signatories representing the Holy See and Italy.
This provides a genuine historical church-state relationship worth examining.
It establishes a formal agreement between the Holy See and Mussolini's government, including provisions concerning:
- sovereignty
- religion
- finances
But a 1929 agreement granting Vatican territorial sovereignty does not establish that Vatican City is a department of an ancient imperial dynasty commanding the world's political institutions.
The relationship between:
- the papacy
- ancient Rome
- medieval political authority
and modern states is complex.
It cannot be accurately summarized by treating all those entities as interchangeable.
Finding:
The distinction between Vatican City and the Holy See matters; the alleged worldwide imperial command relationship remains unproved.
7. The Sovereign Military Order of Malta#
Claim 3 — The Order of Malta is a governing branch of the alleged dynasty.
The Order of Malta is a genuine historical institution.
Its origins lie in a hospital community caring for pilgrims in medieval Jerusalem.
Pope Paschal II recognized the Order of St. John in 1113.
The order subsequently developed a military role and maintained bases in Rhodes and Malta.
Its modern successor is a Catholic religious order and a distinctive sovereign subject of international law with diplomatic relations and humanitarian activities.
The order's official historical account documents its medieval origins and evolution.
Its unusual international position is important.
It possesses institutional continuity extending across many centuries, yet that continuity is not the same as political sovereignty over foreign governments.
The order has historically involved:
- aristocratic families
- religious figures
- diplomats
and people of considerable influence.
These connections warrant specific historical study.
However, no evidence examined here establishes that the Order of Malta controls the Fabian Society, commands British constitutional bodies, or exercises worldwide political sovereignty.
Finding: Genuine historical continuity and diplomatic standing; alleged global-command authority unsupported.
8. The British Crown and the Order of the Temple#
Claim 4 — The Crown is headquarters of the Order of the Temple.
The claim combines institutions that must first be identified separately.
The medieval Knights Templar emerged during the Crusades and developed into a powerful religious-military order with extensive European property and financial arrangements.
Following accusations and political pressure, the order was suppressed under Pope Clement V in 1312.
Its suppression is part of documented medieval church and political history.
The British Crown, by contrast, is a developing constitutional institution whose modern meaning includes the monarch and certain capacities of government and the state.
Modern Templar-themed organizations exist, but sharing the name, symbols, or rituals of the medieval order does not by itself establish uninterrupted legal succession.
A defensible version of the diagram's claim would identify which Templar institution is intended, what evidence establishes its continuity, and which instrument places the British Crown at its headquarters.
The infographic supplies none of this.
Finding: The medieval Templars and British Crown are historical realities.
The asserted headquarters relationship is unsubstantiated.
9. The Order of Rose Croix#
Claim 5 — The Order of Rose Croix occupies a position within the supposed imperial hierarchy.
Rose Croix is associated with Masonic rites and traditions.
In England and Wales the term commonly refers to the Ancient and Accepted Rite, including its eighteenth degree.
The English and Welsh Rose Croix organization describes the Rite and its structure.
It is a mistake to treat every organization called Rose Croix as one uniform political body.
- Names
- jurisdictions
- related traditions
need to be distinguished.
Evidence of Masonic membership, ceremonial activity, and overlapping institutional affiliations may be relevant to particular historical questions.
None independently demonstrates control of the British government or an ancient Roman dynasty.
Finding:
Genuine fraternal and ritual tradition; alleged imperial command relationship unsupported.
10. The Order of the Garter#
Claim 6 — The Order of the Garter forms part of the governing structure controlling the Privy Council.
The Order of the Garter is Britain's senior order of chivalry.
Edward III established it in 1348.
Membership is a royal honor associated with public service and the monarchy.
The Royal Family's official history explains its founding and ceremonial role.
Membership can carry prestige and provide opportunities for contact among influential people.
It does not automatically grant the authority to direct government ministers or administer the British judicial system.
An individual may belong to both an honor system and a constitutional institution.
This overlap alone does not make one institution subordinate to the other.
Finding:
The order is real and influential as an honor.
Its alleged constitutional command over the Privy Council is unsupported.
11. The Society of Jesus#
Claim 7 — The Jesuits form another branch of the global Roman ruling structure.
Ignatius of Loyola and his companions founded the Society of Jesus, which received papal approval in 1540.
Jesuits became prominent in:
- missionary work
- education
- theological scholarship
- religious controversy
Their institutions have interacted with governments across several centuries.
The Jesuits' historical account identifies their founders and the date of formal recognition.
The history of Jesuit education and political influence is a legitimate subject for careful research.
Their institutional relationship with the papacy is documented.
But participation in public life is not the same as secretly governing every:
- political ideology
- state
- financial
system.
Finding:
Real religious influence and Catholic institutional affiliation; universal geopolitical control not demonstrated.
PART FOUR — THE NETWORKS BEHIND THE NETWORKS#
12. Rhodes, Milner, and the Round Table movement#
Claim 8 — The Rhodes-Milner Round Table is subordinate to the Crown and Order of Malta.
This deserves particular attention because the underlying history is substantial.
Cecil Rhodes was a central figure in British imperial expansion.
Alfred Milner was an important colonial administrator and imperial policymaker.
Lionel Curtis and others associated with Milner developed plans for closer political relationships among parts of the British Empire.
The Round Table movement emerged in the early twentieth century.
Its journal began in 1910 and its central political concern included forms of imperial federation and cooperation.
The scholarly article The Round Table and Imperial Federation, 1910–17 examines its founding purpose.
This is not imaginary networking.
Imperial policy was actively debated and promoted by connected intellectual and political elites.
It is important to acknowledge the historical reality of:
- racial hierarchies
- imperial coercion
- colonial interests
within the wider world in which these networks operated.
However, the Round Table's known history does not establish it as an executive department of the Order of Malta or a secret government superior to the British constitutional state.
Finding:
Documented imperial policy network; proposed hidden parentage unproved.
13. The Fabian Society#
Claim 9 — The Fabian Society is controlled by the Crown and Order of Malta.
The Fabian Society was established in 1884.
It advocated gradualist approaches to:
- socialism
- institutional reform
- public policy
Its influence on British political thought, particularly Labor politics, is documented.
The society's own historical account identifies its:
- founding year
- ideological development
- archival collection
at the London School of Economics.
The name Fabian comes from the Roman general Quintus Fabius Maximus, known for his patient strategy against Hannibal.
That is an illuminating historical reference.
It is not proof of institutional descent from the Roman Empire.
The Fabian Society's ideas may be criticized through its:
- publications
- political activities
- policy influence
But the claim that it is a subordinate institution of the Order of Malta requires evidence beyond a diagram.
Finding:
Established ideological influence; secret command relationship unsupported.
14. The Privy Council#
Claim 10 — The Privy Council is controlled by the Order of the Garter.
The Privy Council is a constitutional institution associated with the British monarch and government.
According to the Privy Council Office,
its members primarily include:
- ministers
- parliamentarians
- members of the judiciary
Appointments are made by the sovereign following the prime minister's recommendation.
Daily business is largely conducted by serving ministers.
This structure differs fundamentally from an order of chivalry.
The Crown has legally significant constitutional functions, and their relationship with political accountability is a serious subject.
Yet the relevant mechanisms must be traced through:
- constitutional law
- ministerial responsibility
- institutional procedure
A royal ceremonial order cannot simply be substituted as the governing authority without evidence.
Finding:
Real constitutional institution; alleged Garter control unsubstantiated.
15. Le Cercle#
Claim 11 — Le Cercle operates under the Order of Malta and Opus Dei.
Le Cercle, also associated with the Pinay Circle, is a much less transparent historical network than the Privy Council or Fabian Society.
Investigative writers have described a discreet transnational network of:
- political
- intelligence-related
- conservative
- anti-communist figures
David Teacher's study, Rogue Agents: The Cercle–Pinay Complex, 1951–1991,
assembles:
- extensive allegations
- historical references
- documentary leads
It is useful as an investigative research source, not as a substitute for independently checking the documents and claims it presents.
Opus Dei is a distinct Catholic institution founded in 1928 by Josemaría Escrivá.
Its published institutional history provides the relevant chronology.
The existence of conservative Catholic networks, overlapping personal affiliations, or private meetings would not alone prove that Le Cercle reports institutionally to either Opus Dei or the Order of Malta.
The strongest future investigation would construct a dated membership and meeting database, compare it with correspondence, and identify authenticated funding or instructions.
Finding:
A historically grounded subject for investigating informal political influence; asserted Malta/Opus Dei control not established.
PART FIVE — DID ONE NETWORK CREATE EVERY POLITICAL IDEOLOGY?#
16. The alleged creators of the political right and left#
Claim 12 — The depicted institutions created all globalist and nationalist institutions, including the extremes of the political right and left.
This is the image's largest causal claim.
To examine it properly, we must distinguish the origins of ideas from later attempts to finance, influence, or exploit movements advocating those ideas.
A government can support a foreign movement without inventing its philosophy.
A financier can invest in an enterprise without designing the economic system in which it operates.
A political movement can temporarily cooperate with an ideological enemy without proving that both originated from one authority.
The diagram treats all these possibilities as though they were equivalent.
They are not.
17. Feudalism#
Claim 13 — The alleged ruling structure created feudalism.
What historians call feudalism developed through medieval arrangements involving:
- land
- lordship
- military obligation
- political authority
More importantly, historians disagree about how useful the term itself is.
Constance Bouchard's Oxford Bibliographies review of feudalism explains why scholars have criticized the concept as an overly broad description of different medieval institutions.
Susan Reynolds's Fiefs and Vassals similarly challenges traditional assumptions.
This makes the infographic's claim especially weak:
it attributes the creation of a disputed historical category to an unnamed centralized organization.
Finding:
The claim is historically unsupported and conceptually oversimplified.
18. Capitalism#
Claim 14 — The hierarchy created capitalism.
Capitalism did not emerge through one identifiable founding event.
Historical development involved:
- commercial exchange
- financial institutions
- changes in property and production
- merchant enterprise
- colonial extraction
- industrialization
and evolving labor relations.
Scholars disagree about capitalism's precise definition and origins.
There were genuine connections between:
- European commercial expansion
- imperial states
- banks
and chartered trading companies.
But this does not establish that one secret organization invented the entire economic system.
Finding:
Capitalism's history is complex and deeply entangled with political power; single-network creation is unproved.
19. Marxism#
Claim 15 — The depicted hierarchy created Marxism.
Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels developed the political and economic ideas commonly associated with Marxism.
Their Communist Manifesto was published in 1848, decades before the Fabian Society was founded.
This chronology is important.
Later intellectual exchange between socialist organizations does not mean those later organizations authored earlier works.
Theories about covert influence over Marxist movements must be investigated through actual records of:
- political organization
- financing
- correspondence
- state activity
Finding: Known intellectual origins contradict the simplistic creation claim.
20. Zionism#
Claim 16 — The same hierarchy created Zionism.
Modern political Zionism developed in the late nineteenth century through Jewish national movements responding to circumstances including European antisemitism.
Theodor Herzl convened the First Zionist Congress in Basel in 1897.
The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum's historical account summarizes Herzl's role and the movement's historical background.
Zionism has never been intellectually uniform.
Its participants have represented differing:
religious, secular, socialist, nationalist, and other political views.
Its development, later diplomatic backing, relationships with colonial powers, and the consequences for Palestinians are all legitimate historical subjects.
They should be examined carefully and separately.
But the infographic supplies no evidence that the movement was secretly created by the British Crown or Order of Malta.
Finding: Documented political history; alleged common authorship unproved.
A related ethical caution is necessary:
criticism of Zionism, Israeli government policies, or particular historical actors must not be transformed into accusations of collective Jewish control or responsibility.
21. Bolshevism#
Claim 17 — Bolshevism was created by the depicted hierarchy.
Bolshevism emerged from factional conflicts in Russian socialist politics, particularly the 1903 division of the Russian Social Democratic Labor Party.
Vladimir Lenin played a defining role.
A contemporary U.S. diplomatic account of the Bolsheviks discussed the 1903 split and Lenin's organizational philosophy.
Foreign governments attempted to influence Russian affairs.
The revolutionary period also included:
- covert activity
- wartime calculations
- factional struggles
and intense international competition.
Those realities deserve investigation.
They do not by themselves demonstrate creation or ongoing command by the British Crown.
Finding:
Documented revolutionary and ideological origins; Crown authorship unproved.
22. Nazism#
Claim 18 — Nazism was created by the same hierarchy.
Nazism emerged from:
- extremist German nationalism
- racist antisemitism
- the political crisis following World War I
and the development of the Nazi Party.
Adolf Hitler joined the German Workers' Party in 1919.
The party adopted its National Socialist name in 1920.
The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum's history of the Nazi Party documents its origins and ideology.
The question of which business figures, political conservatives, or other interests supported the Nazi movement is historically significant.
Nevertheless, proving that particular elites supported Hitler would not prove that they invented Nazi ideology or operated as agents of a continuous Roman dynasty.
The claim must be tested through records establishing direction and control, rather than guilt by association.
Finding:
The image's implied common origin is not established by the documented history of Nazism.
23. Italian fascism#
Claim 19 — Mussolini's fascism was created by the same structure.
Benito Mussolini established his fascist movement in 1919 and became Italian prime minister in 1922.
The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum's biography documents his political development and rise to power.
The Lateran Treaty came in 1929.
This matters because the treaty was an agreement between institutions already exercising political power.
It cannot be presented, without additional evidence, as the original creation of Mussolini's fascist movement.
The relationship between Fascist Italy and the Catholic Church nevertheless warrants substantive historical examination,
including:
- compromises
- political advantages
- conflicts
- differing responsibilities
Finding:
Mussolini's political development is documented; creation by the alleged worldwide hierarchy is unsupported.
24. The historical problem with universal authorship#
The ideological systems named in the infographic developed in different:
- centuries
- circumstances
- cultural environments
They also disagreed profoundly over:
- property
- class
- nationalism
- religion
- state authority
- human identity
The claim that one institution deliberately created all of them is not impossible in the abstract merely because some later groups cooperated across ideological boundaries.
But it requires exceptionally extensive evidence.
The diagram offers none.
Historical conflict between political movements does not prove they share a secret origin, and cooperation between political movements does not prove they share a secret origin either.
Either conclusion must be established through particular evidence.
PART SIX — WHO CONTROLS POLITICS, MEDIA, COURTS, AND EDUCATION?#
25. Politicians and judges#
Claim 20 — Politicians and the judiciary ultimately answer to the alleged hierarchy.
Political systems can be influenced by:
- campaign donations
- lobbying
- appointments
- patronage
- informal networks
- business relationships
- foreign pressure
- corruption
Judicial independence also varies across countries and historical periods.
There is no serious reason to assume that every court or politician is immune to influence.
But influence needs to be investigated at the appropriate level.
A campaign contribution can be documented through disclosure records.
Improper judicial pressure can be examined through:
- correspondence
- testimony
- procedural records
or investigative findings.
To demonstrate universal command, one would need evidence connecting those mechanisms across multiple jurisdictions to a central decision-making authority.
The infographic provides none.
Finding: Specific institutional pressure and corruption can be demonstrated; the worldwide command claim is unsupported.
26. Mainstream media and entertainment#
Claim 21 — News media and entertainment belong to the same command structure.
Media ownership concentration is a legitimate concern.
Advertising, audience incentives, access to:
- political sources
- corporate interests
- ideological commitments
and government pressure can affect what reaches the public.
Entertainment industries can be influenced through:
- financing
- distribution control
- sponsorship
- regulation
and changing cultural priorities.
These mechanisms sometimes produce similar institutional behavior without centralized instructions.
It is therefore essential to distinguish actual coordination from parallel conduct arising from shared economic or cultural incentives.
To establish the image's claim, investigators would need verified:
- ownership or management records
- instructions
- financial dependency
or comparable evidence connecting the alleged central authority with particular media decisions.
Finding: Structural pressures are real; universal command by the Crown is not demonstrated.
27. Education, academia, and medicine#
Claim 22 — Education and medicine are ultimately directed by the hierarchy.
Universities and medical institutions receive money from:
- governments
- businesses
- philanthropists
- tuition payers
and other sources.
Funding can influence research:
- priorities
- institutional decisions
- public debate
Conflicts of interest, regulatory failures, and political interference are important areas of investigation.
But the academic and medical worlds contain many:
- distinct systems
- institutions
- funding arrangements
- professional bodies
- legal jurisdictions
The diagram offers no evidence that they are collectively governed by the same concealed authority.
A responsible inquiry would investigate:
- individual funding agreements
- regulatory decisions
- documented conflicts
rather than presuming universal control.
Finding: Particular influence mechanisms warrant scrutiny; global centralized control is unsupported.
PART SEVEN — WHAT DOES “THE CROWN” ACTUALLY MEAN?#
28. The alleged central headquarters#
Claim 23 — The Crown is a principal apparatus of the surviving Roman Empire.
The image makes the Crown its visual center, but the word has several meanings in British public law.
It can refer to the monarch, the institution of monarchy, or governmental authority exercised in a particular legal capacity.
The House of Commons Library explicitly discusses this complexity.
This does not make the Crown powerless.
The British constitutional order retains legal powers associated with the Crown, generally exercised according to constitutional conventions and ministerial responsibility.
However, constitutional authority within the United Kingdom does not establish sovereignty over foreign states.
The central error is treating a complex constitutional concept as though it names one private, worldwide executive corporation.
Finding:
The Crown is a real constitutional institution; its purported identity as a Roman world headquarters is unsupported.
29. The Crown Estate is not the monarch's personal investment company#
One recurring source of confusion is the Crown Estate.
Its assets are held in right of the Crown, but they are not the monarch's private estate.
The Crown Estate's governance explanation describes its statutory structure, independent management, and the transfer of its net revenue profits to the UK's Consolidated Fund.
This is an instructive example of why terminology matters.
A legal phrase involving the Crown does not automatically confer private personal ownership on the reigning monarch.
The distinction becomes especially important when conspiracy narratives move from constitutional terminology to financial claims.
30. The City of London Corporation#
The historic City of London, commonly called the Square Mile, is another institution frequently conflated with the Crown.
It has unusual historical privileges, its own local government, a separate Lord Mayor, and significant connections with the financial sector.
Its official explanation of its role describes its responsibilities.
The Corporation's distinctiveness is real.
It does not follow that the Corporation is the secret sovereign of the United Kingdom, much less the owner of every global financial institution.
To evaluate specific allegations about City financial influence, one should examine:
- corporate lobbying
- regulatory policy
- commercial networks
- financial transactions
The fact that an institution is old and unusual is not itself evidence of concealed universal sovereignty.
PART EIGHT — ROME, LAW, BANKING, AND CORPORATE OWNERSHIP#
31. Global Roman law and the judiciary#
Claim 24 — Global law and judicial systems operate under Roman-Crown authority.
Roman law influenced many later European legal systems.
The influence is particularly important to understanding:
- civil-law traditions
- legal education
- the historical development
of concepts concerning:
- property
- contracts
- public authority
But Roman-law influence does not mean every legal system remains under the jurisdiction of Rome.
English common law has a distinctive historical development.
Modern states possess different:
- constitutional traditions
- statutes
- legal courts
- international obligations
Religious legal traditions and customary law further complicate the picture.
Finding:
Widespread Roman legal influence is historically real; worldwide Crown jurisdiction is not established.
32. Who controls the global money supply?#
Claim 25 — Global money creation is controlled by the alleged Crown hierarchy.
This claim compresses several separate financial institutions into one supposed system.
The Bank of England was founded in 1694 and nationalized in 1946.
According to the Bank of England's ownership explanation, it is owned by the UK government through HM Treasury.
That does not mean it is the personal property of the sovereign.
The United States Federal Reserve was created by Congress in 1913.
Its official institutional explanation describes its public-private structure.
The Board of Governors is a federal agency accountable to Congress.
Its system includes regional Reserve Banks and statutory mechanisms for monetary-policy decisions.
The International Monetary Fund has substantial influence in international finance.
Its governance includes national representation and unequal voting power based substantially on member quotas.
The IMF's official voting and governance explanation details those arrangements.
These institutions certainly possess significant influence.
But their actual ownership, legal structures, and powers differ.
It is not sound reasoning to combine:
- central banks
- international lenders
- investment managers
and sovereign governments into one undifferentiated institution called the Crown.
Finding:
Significant financial concentration and unequal institutional influence are documented; the alleged universal command structure is unsupported.
33. Global politics#
Claim 26 — Every nationalist and globalist political institution ultimately answers to the Crown.
This is an almost unlimited allegation.
No specific list of:
- governing bodies
- command mechanisms
- dates
or documentary sources is provided.
To make the theory testable, it would be necessary to identify specific organizations, their legal or operational relationship with the Crown, and decisions attributable to that relationship.
Without those particulars, the statement becomes a broad interpretation rather than an established historical conclusion.
Finding: Unsupported as stated.
34. Global media and entertainment#
Claim 27 — The Crown controls global media and entertainment.
This repeats the allegation examined earlier but relocates it to the diagram's central hierarchy.
The extra arrow does not add evidence.
An actual investigation should distinguish:
- ownership
- management
- editorial influence
- regulatory powe
- covert instructions
Finding: Unsupported.
35. Global academia, education, and medicine#
Claim 28 — The Crown commands academic, educational, and medical institutions worldwide.
The diagram again repeats an expansive assertion without defining command.
One may legitimately investigate:
- university endowments
- pharmaceutical research funding
- public-health policy
- government contracting
- professional regulation
But institutional relationships must be demonstrated individually.
Finding:
Unsupported.
36. Vanguard and the British East India Company#
Claim 29 — Vanguard is a child or successor of the British East India Company.
This is among the clearest claims to test through documentary history.
The British East India Company was a chartered commercial enterprise that acquired enormous administrative and coercive powers in parts of South Asia.
Its colonial rule was not merely economic influence.
The company exercised governmental authority and commanded armed forces.
The UK Parliament's historical account records that the company's administrative powers in India ended in 1858, when authority passed to the British state.
The company itself was formally dissolved in 1874.
Vanguard began operating in 1975 and was founded through a very different corporate history associated with John C. Bogle.
Its published ownership structure states that Vanguard is owned by its funds, which are owned by their shareholders.
These timelines and legal histories do not establish an East India Company-to-Vanguard corporate succession.
If the allegation were true, investigators should be able to identify:
- a legal chain of ownership
- mergers
- transferred corporate rights
or other instruments establishing succession.
None has been supplied.
That does not make Vanguard's corporate influence insignificant.
Large investment managers can exercise voting rights and stewardship influence over companies on behalf of their fund investors.
But managing substantial assets is not the same as owning the entire economy, and a manager's voting influence must be evaluated separately from its ultimate investors' economic interests.
Finding:
The claimed East India Company parentage is unsupported by the documented histories.
Vanguard's real corporate-governance influence remains a legitimate separate topic.
PART NINE — ARE MODERN NATIONS REALLY BRITISH COLONIES?#
37. What constitutes a colony?#
A colony normally involves identifiable forms of political subordination to another sovereign power.
It is important to distinguish colonial government from:
- alliances
- diplomatic relations
- financial dependence
- trade agreements
- intelligence cooperation
and unequal international influence.
The United Nations Charter, Article 2, recognizes the principle of sovereign equality among member states.
That legal principle does not mean all countries possess equal political, financial, or military power.
It means that formal sovereignty and actual power disparities are different questions.
38. United States#
Claim 30 — The United States remains a Crown colony.
The British government recognized American independence through the Treaty of Paris in 1783.
The original treaty and transcript explicitly recognize the United States as sovereign and independent.
The United States and United Kingdom subsequently developed extensive:
- diplomatic
- security
- economic
- cultural relations
Those relationships can be examined for unequal influence.
But cooperation does not automatically reestablish colonial sovereignty.
Finding:
The contemporary legal colonial classification is false; a proposed hidden command relationship remains unproved.
39. Saudi Arabia#
Claim 31 — Saudi Arabia is a Crown colony.
British diplomacy was historically important in the Arabian Peninsula and wider Middle East.
Relationships among:
- imperial powers
- regional rulers
- treaties
- strategic resources
deserve historical attention.
Saudi Arabia nevertheless developed as a sovereign monarchy rather than a modern British Crown dependency.
A theory of hidden British control would require documentary evidence of specific binding authority.
Finding:
Unsupported.
40. Russia#
Claim 32 — Russia is a Crown colony.
Russia possesses its own:
- state institutions
- military forces
- diplomatic relationships
- constitutional system
Its frequent conflicts with Britain make a simple subordinate-colony model especially implausible, although geopolitical rivalry alone cannot logically disprove every possible covert arrangement.
The alleged command relationship would need positive evidence.
Finding:
Unsupported.
41. Iran#
Claim 33 — Iran is a Crown colony.
Iran is an especially instructive case because British and American interference in Iranian politics is historically documented.
The 1953 overthrow of Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddegh involved covert operations.
The U.S. State Department's Foreign Relations of the United States documentation discusses the operation and its surviving records.
The National Security Archive's documentary collection likewise presents evidence of U.S. and British involvement.
This is a strong example of why genuine covert political action should be studied seriously.
But a documented intervention in 1953 does not by itself establish that the contemporary Islamic Republic is secretly governed by the British Crown.
Historical intervention and continuing sovereign control are different propositions.
Finding:
Past foreign interference is documented; the present hidden-colony claim remains unproved.
42. China#
Claim 34 — China is a Crown colony.
Britain exercised imperial influence in parts of Chinese history, particularly through:
- trade
- unequal treaties
- warfare
- Hong Kong
The present People's Republic of China has its own governing institutions, armed forces, and international political power.
Historical British intervention does not establish current British sovereignty.
Finding:
Unsupported.
43. India#
Claim 35 — India remains a Crown colony.
This claim must be examined against the actual history of British imperial rule.
The East India Company administered large territories under colonial authority.
Following the 1857 rebellion, Britain transferred governance to the Crown in 1858.
India's independence struggle was long and politically significant.
The Indian Independence Act 1947 established independent dominions, including India.
India subsequently became a republic in 1950.
British colonial history has lasting:
- economic
- cultural
- legal
- institutional
consequences.
Those consequences should not be minimized.
But they do not establish continuing British sovereign jurisdiction over the Republic of India.
Finding:
Historical colonial rule is established; the claim of continuing modern legal colonial status is false.
44. Israel#
Claim 36 — Israel is a Crown colony.
The British Mandate for Palestine is central to the region's twentieth-century history.
The establishment of Israel in 1948 followed decades of:
- political developments
- British imperial decisions
- Jewish and Arab national movements
- war
- international diplomacy
The resulting history includes difficult and ongoing questions about Palestinian:
- displacement
- national self-determination
- sovereignty
- conflict
Israel is not legally a British Crown colony.
Any specific allegation of British command would require evidence of authority over the Israeli state's decisions.
Finding:
Unsupported.
45. The “Etc (Colony)” problem#
The infographic's final box effectively extends the accusation to every remaining country.
It provides no means of distinguishing a controlled state from an uncontrolled one.
If every country is defined as secretly controlled regardless of its:
- laws
- leadership
- alliances
- wars
or actions, the theory becomes difficult to test.
The absence of a possible counterexample is a methodological weakness, not evidence that the theory is comprehensive.
PART TEN — REAL CONSPIRACIES, REAL DOCUMENTS#
46. Why documented covert operations matter#
One of the worst ways to investigate a suspicious infographic is to pretend that secret political coordination never occurs.
It plainly does.
A stronger approach is to examine historical cases in which covert activity was demonstrated and compare the evidence with what the infographic provides.
47. Iran, 1953#
The overthrow of Mohammad Mosaddegh illustrates covert geopolitical intervention.
The documentary record includes:
- government planning
- intelligence activity
- diplomatic context
- retrospective historical investigation
The State Department's Iran documentary volume explains the range of records used in reconstructing the operation.
The historical significance is not that every subsequent Iranian government was secretly controlled by Britain.
It is that identifiable actors engaged in a particular operation during a particular political crisis, and later archival records helped establish what happened.
Lesson:
Covert intervention can be proved through authenticated records and corroborating history.
48. Watergate#
The Watergate scandal likewise involved covert wrongdoing connected to political power.
A June 1972 burglary at Democratic National Committee headquarters led to investigations uncovering serious abuses involving President Richard Nixon's administration.
The U.S. National Archives' Watergate exhibit documents the scandal and Nixon's eventual resignation.
- Presidential recordings
- testimony
- court proceedings
- congressional investigations
and documentary records were central to establishing responsibility.
This is very different from drawing a line between unrelated organizations and declaring the connection proved.
Lesson:
An investigation becomes compelling when documentary evidence establishes particular conduct.
49. Iran-Contra#
The Iran-Contra affair concerned covert arms-related activity involving Iran and support for Nicaraguan Contra forces.
The National Archives' records of Independent Counsel Lawrence Walsh document the investigation, criminal proceedings, and complexity of the case.
Some convictions were overturned on legal grounds relating to immunized testimony, and pardons further complicated accountability.
This makes the case especially instructive: even when clandestine operations are demonstrated, a responsible investigator must distinguish established events from legal findings about particular people.
Lesson:
Proof of an operation does not remove the need to establish each person's responsibility.
50. The British East India Company#
The East India Company illustrates how a commercial enterprise can acquire political and military power.
This case also demonstrates that formal:
- arrangements
- contracts
- charters
- armies
- government legislation
can reveal institutional domination.
Colonial conquest and exploitation are not imaginary simply because they involve powerful interests.
Nor does their historical reality establish that every later financial institution descends from the same company.
Lesson: Historical wrongdoing is most clearly understood when its actual legal and operational mechanisms are identified.
51. What these cases teach us#
The documentary evidence in these examples contains:
- identifiable actors
- institutional contexts
- dates
- transactions
- decisions
- consequences
The claim can be defined with sufficient precision that historians can distinguish supporting records from competing explanations.
The original infographic does not provide a comparable evidentiary foundation for its universal theory.
That difference is central.
PART ELEVEN — HOW THE INFOGRAPHIC PERSUADES#
52. The authority of a diagram#
An organizational chart looks like a factual description.
Boxes imply departments.
Arrows imply command.
Vertical placement implies rank.
In a genuine organizational chart, those visual conventions correspond to identifiable reporting structures.
In this image, many of the supposed relationships are never defined.
Does a red arrow mean:
- ownership
- financing
- membership
- historical origin
- ideological influence
or legal command?
Does a green line signify a separate channel of authority?
What do the blue annotations establish?
Without a legend and supporting records, the meanings are imposed by the reader or assumed from the visual design.
The diagram appears precise while leaving its fundamental causal relationships ambiguous.
53. Credibility through familiar institutions#
The Vatican exists.
The Order of Malta exists.
The Fabian Society exists.
The Privy Council exists.
Vanguard exists.
Recognition of these names can make the surrounding claims appear trustworthy.
But the existence of the boxes does not establish the truth of the arrows.
A reader may recognize several historically genuine institutions and unconsciously accept an undocumented relationship connecting them.
This is the transfer of credibility from verified details to an unverified larger conclusion.
54. Chronological compression#
The diagram places:
- medieval institutions
- nineteenth-century organizations
- twentieth-century political movements
and modern investment companies on one visual plane.
Centuries disappear.
Organizations established long after particular political ideas are presented as those ideas' creators.
Chronological distance becomes visually invisible.
The remedy is straightforward:
- restore the dates
- identify founders and historical intermediaries
- require evidence for each claimed transfer of influence
55. Why comprehensive explanations can be appealing#
Political history is complicated.
Different institutions have competing objectives.
Human decisions produce unintended consequences.
Economic interests overlap with:
- ideology
- personal ambition
- genuine belief
A theory that explains everything through one secret organization provides apparent simplicity.
Psychologists Karen Douglas, Robbie Sutton, and Aleksandra Cichocka examined the appeal of conspiracy theories in their 2017 paper, The Psychology of Conspiracy Theories.
Their review identifies motivations related to understanding the world, gaining a sense of security or control, and maintaining social identity.
These findings do not mean people who question powerful institutions are irrational.
Nor do they establish that a particular allegation is false.
They help explain why certain forms of explanation may feel persuasive before the evidence has been fully examined.
56. Confirmation bias and motivated reasoning#
Confirmation bias occurs when people preferentially notice or interpret information supporting existing expectations.
Motivated reasoning concerns the influence of desires, commitments, or identities on the evaluation of evidence.
Both can affect supporters and critics of conspiracy claims.
Someone convinced that the monarchy secretly rules every country may interpret international cooperation as confirmation.
Someone convinced that political institutions never coordinate covertly may dismiss genuine evidence of intervention too quickly.
The solution is not to declare oneself immune to bias.
It is to define evidentiary standards in advance and apply them consistently.
57. Pattern perception and overinterpretation#
Human beings are skilled at recognizing patterns.
That ability helps us understand social relationships and detect threats.
It can also lead us to assign greater significance to coincidence, shared symbols, or overlapping affiliations than the evidence warrants.
A crown,
a cross,
a Latin motto,
a Roman architectural element,
and an ancient historical title may have related cultural histories.
Their similarity does not prove they belong to one modern operational headquarters.
The proper historical question is whether the relationship can be traced through records.
58. The self-sealing explanation#
A self-sealing explanation is one that can absorb nearly every possible objection as further evidence of its own truth.
Imagine someone claims every government secretly obeys the Crown.
A government cooperating with Britain is explained as obedience.
A government fighting Britain is explained as staged opposition.
An official denial is explained as concealment.
A missing document is explained as proof of secrecy.
When no conceivable observation could challenge the theory, its empirical value becomes extremely limited.
This does not prove that secret relationships never exist.
It shows why investigators should state what evidence would count against their conclusions.
59. The need to avoid psychological dismissal#
Psychological analysis is easily misused.
It would be unfair to suggest that believing or questioning an allegation reveals a mental disorder, poor intelligence, or moral deficiency.
People may encounter incomplete or misleading information for many reasons.
Some genuine historical scandals were initially dismissed.
The purpose of psychological examination should therefore be to improve reasoning, not stigmatize dissent.
The question is not whether a person feels suspicious.
The question is whether the specific claim is supported.
PART TWELVE — BIBLICAL EXAMINATION: THE KING JAMES VERSION#
60. Scripture and historical evidence serve different purposes#
The Bible teaches about God, humanity, sin, earthly kingdoms, spiritual conflict, judgment, and salvation.
It also contains historical narratives and prophetic passages.
But a modern claim about a particular bank's corporate ownership must be established by appropriate records.
A modern claim about the relationship between two political societies requires historical evidence.
A scriptural passage about a kingdom does not automatically identify a modern corporation.
Therefore, the biblical examination must proceed carefully.
We will distinguish what Scripture says, the context in which it says it, and the interpretations Christians have offered.
61. Acts 17:11 — The example of examination#
King James Version:
These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
The Bereans examined Paul's message in relation to Scripture.
Their example concerns the reception and testing of religious teaching.
By analogy, their willingness to examine claims carefully is relevant to our inquiry.
But historical evidence and biblical exegesis are not identical methods.
The biblical text should not be forced to answer historical questions it does not address.
62. Proverbs 18:17 — Hearing the other side#
King James Version:
He that is first in his own cause seemeth just; but his neighbour cometh and searcheth him.
This proverb describes the danger of accepting the first account of a dispute without examination.
A dramatic infographic may initially appear convincing.
So may an authoritative rebuttal.
The responsibility of the investigator is to hear relevant evidence, consider alternative interpretations, and distinguish established facts from unresolved questions.
The proverb supports careful inquiry rather than reflexive agreement with either side.
63. Exodus 23:1 — False reports#
King James Version:
Thou shalt not raise a false report: put not thine hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness.
The biblical prohibition against false reports creates a serious ethical obligation.
A person should not accuse another without adequate grounds.
That principle applies even when the accused person or institution is:
- influential
- unpopular
- politically powerful
or theologically controversial.
It does not forbid investigation.
It requires that testimony and accusation be truthful.
64. Proverbs 18:13 — Premature conclusions#
King James Version:
He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him.
The warning applies naturally to both careless acceptance and careless dismissal.
It is possible to be too quick to condemn an institution.
It is also possible to be too quick to defend it.
A careful Christian investigation should acknowledge the limits of what has been established.
65. 1 Thessalonians 5:21 — Prove all things#
King James Version:
Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
The immediate context concerns prophetic and spiritual discernment.
It should not be misrepresented as a technical manual for academic historical research.
Nevertheless, its emphasis on testing is consistent with the broader ethical responsibility to examine claims rather than accept them uncritically.
PART THIRTEEN — DANIEL, ROME, BABYLON, AND REVELATION#
66. Daniel's succession of kingdoms#
Daniel 2 describes Nebuchadnezzar's dream of a great image composed of different materials.
Daniel interprets the image in relation to kingdoms and the eventual establishment of God's kingdom.
Daniel 2:44 — KJV
And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed:
The passage teaches the eventual triumph of God's kingdom over earthly political powers.
Many traditional Christian interpretations associate the fourth kingdom with Rome.
The identification of successive kingdoms, the meaning of their divisions, and the timing of prophetic fulfillment remain debated among interpreters.
Even when Rome is identified as a prophetic kingdom, the text does not specifically identify:
- the modern British Crown
- Order of Malta
- Fabian Society
or Vanguard.
A proposed connection must therefore be presented as an additional interpretation requiring support.
67. Daniel 7 and the fourth beast#
Daniel 7 contains imagery of successive beasts and a final divine judgment.
Daniel 7:23 — KJV
Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.
Interpreters have understood these images in different ways.
Some associate the fourth beast with Rome and later developments in Roman political or religious power.
Others associate particular prophetic details with different historical or future arrangements.
The passage warrants serious exegetical study.
But it does not supply an institutional chain of command from ancient Rome to named modern organizations.
The difference between interpreting a prophetic symbol and proving a contemporary political structure must remain clear.
68. Revelation 13 — The beast and worldly power#
Revelation 13 portrays a beast exercising extraordinary authority and receiving worship.
The imagery concerns:
- political power
- religious allegiance
- deception
- coercion
- opposition to God
Christian interpreters differ over whether its principal fulfillment relates to first-century imperial power,
later historical developments,
a future antichristian regime, recurring manifestations of worldly power,
or combinations of these.
What cannot be responsibly concluded from the passage alone is that every institution depicted in the infographic must therefore be a member of one documented modern command structure.
Interpretation should not be converted into historical certainty without evidence.
69. Revelation 17 — Babylon and the seven mountains#
Revelation 17:9 — KJV
And here is the mind which hath wisdom.
The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.
The reference to seven mountains has often contributed to associations between the imagery of Babylon and Rome.
Rome was historically famous for its seven hills.
That background is relevant to interpretation.
Revelation 17:18 — KJV
And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.
The symbolism has been interpreted through several major theological approaches.
Approach |
General interpretation |
|---|---|
Preterist |
Emphasizes the original first-century context and Rome's imperial power |
Historicist |
Reads Revelation through successive periods of church and political history |
Futurist |
Emphasizes future fulfillment of substantial portions of the prophecy |
Idealist or spiritual |
Emphasizes recurring manifestations of oppressive and idolatrous power |
Steve Gregg's Revelation: Four Views, A Parallel Commentary provides an introduction to the principal interpretive approaches.
The historicist Protestant tradition has sometimes identified papal Rome with Babylon or Antichrist.
That historical interpretive tradition should be described accurately, neither erased nor simply accepted without examination.
The preterist approach emphasizes Rome's historical imperial setting.
The futurist approach anticipates a future concentration of anti-God power.
The idealist approach sees recurring patterns of worldly arrogance, persecution, and idolatry.
These interpretations differ significantly.
The image's complete modern hierarchy is not explicitly presented in Revelation 17.
70. Revelation 18 — Commerce and judgment#
Revelation 18 contains a striking portrayal of:
- commercial wealth
- luxury
- exploitation
- the collapse of Babylon
These themes make the passage especially relevant to Christian reflections on economic power and injustice.
But the interpretation of Babylon must be established from the passage's literary, historical, and theological context.
The chapter does not name Vanguard, the Bank of England, or any modern investment management company.
Using the passage as a moral warning against greed and corrupt economic power is different from claiming that it identifies a specific corporate ownership structure.
71. Ephesians 6:12 — Spiritual wickedness and earthly institutions#
King James Version:
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
This passage concerns spiritual conflict.
Its context includes:
- truth
- righteousness
- faith
- salvation
- the word of God
- prayer
The passage should not be treated as permission to assign spiritual guilt to particular institutions or individuals without evidence.
Nor does it identify the people in the infographic as the rulers of spiritual darkness.
That would be an interpretation imposed upon the text.
72. John 18:36 — Christ's kingdom#
King James Version:
Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world:
Jesus speaks to Pontius Pilate concerning His kingship.
The passage distinguishes the source and character of Christ's kingdom from ordinary worldly political sovereignty.
It does not mean that political power is always irrelevant to Christian ethics.
It does mean that God's ultimate authority should not be confused with the authority claimed by earthly institutions.
73. Romans 13 and Acts 5 — Government and obedience#
Romans 13 teaches concerning civil authority under God's sovereignty.
Acts 5:29 records the apostles' response when faced with authority conflicting with obedience to God.
Acts 5:29 — KJV
Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.
These passages should be read together and in context.
They do not require uncritical trust in governments.
Neither do they establish that every government is a deliberate agent of one hidden political system.
74. Psalm 118:9 — Trust and worldly rulers#
King James Version:
It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes.
This verse offers a clear theological warning against ultimate confidence in earthly political power.
But replacing confidence in rulers with uncritical confidence in allegations about rulers would not resolve the underlying problem.
A commitment to truth should apply to both those holding power and those criticizing it.
75. John 7:24 — Righteous judgment#
King James Version:
Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
In context, Jesus challenges superficial and inconsistent judgment concerning His actions.
Applied by analogy, the verse provides an appropriate closing principle for historical inquiry.
We should not judge by:
- impressive symbols
- dramatic presentations
- inherited reputation
or prejudice.
We should evaluate what can actually be established.
PART FOURTEEN — THE KING JAMES TRANSLATORS AND THE DUTY OF CORRECTION#
A particularly fitting source is the historical preface included with the King James Bible supplied for this investigation.
In The Translators to the Reader, the translators explain the importance of revising earlier work, examining inherited interpretations, and prioritizing truth over reputation.
Their discussion contains an important principle: those who seek truth must be willing to correct their own work rather than defend it merely because it is theirs.
The translators themselves compared earlier translations, consulted different languages, and acknowledged difficult passages.
That historical example is instructive.
Careful research is not a declaration that every difficult question has been answered.
It is a commitment to improving conclusions as better evidence becomes available.
The same principle should govern this paper.
If authenticated records later establish a relationship currently classified as unsupported, the conclusion should change.
If contrary documentary evidence invalidates a proposed connection, the conclusion should change.
The goal is not to protect an argument from correction.
The goal is to reach the most defensible conclusion the available evidence permits.
PART FIFTEEN — THE ARROWS ARE THE ACCUSATIONS#
76. Why the connections matter more than the boxes#
The original infographic contains numerous actual historical names.
But the central allegation is not simply that those institutions exist.
It is that they belong to a hierarchy.
The arrows carry that allegation.
For this reason, an improved diagram should not automatically reproduce every original connection as factual.
Instead, it should classify each relationship.
A proposed evidence-based map would distinguish:
Connection |
Documentary status |
|---|---|
Holy See — Vatican City |
Established legal relationship |
Holy See — Society of Jesus |
Established Catholic ecclesiastical relationship |
Holy See — Order of Malta |
Established religious relationship, alongside the order's distinctive international status |
Monarch — Order of the Garter |
Established royal institutional relationship |
Crown — Privy Council |
Established constitutional relationship |
Crown — Crown Estate |
Established statutory relationship, not personal royal ownership |
Rhodes-Milner network — Round Table movement |
Historically documented association |
Fabian Society — British political debate |
Established ideological and policy influence |
East India Company — British colonial rule |
Documented commercial, administrative, and colonial relationship |
Vanguard — British East India Company |
Alleged succession not demonstrated |
British Crown — all modern governments |
Alleged universal control not demonstrated |
This is a more accurate starting point than depicting every institution as subordinate to one central headquarters.
It also leaves room for genuine discoveries.
A specific undisclosed funding relationship, for example, could be added once records establish it.
PART SIXTEEN — THE 36-CLAIM EVIDENCE MATRIX#
The following matrix consolidates the preceding investigation.
The findings concern the particular propositions represented in the infographic, not blanket judgments concerning every action in an institution's history.

The image's additional phrase “Etc (Colony)” extends the allegation to unnamed countries but does not supply a distinct, testable proposition.
It is therefore addressed separately rather than treated as an independently verified thirty-seventh relationship.
This matrix should be updated if additional primary evidence becomes available.
PART SEVENTEEN — HOW A FUTURE INVESTIGATION COULD GO FURTHER#
77. Trace the original publication#
The first task is to establish the provenance of the graphic.
That means:
- locating the earliest verifiable version
- identifying its creator
- recording publication dates
- comparing textual revisions
The investigation should determine whether the creator cites:
- books
- private archives
- statutory records
or earlier diagrams.
Without that information, it would be premature to infer the author's intentions or claim that the image originated with any particular organization.
78. Create a membership and correspondence register#
For the Rhodes-Milner network, Le Cercle, and other historical policy organizations, one could construct a dated research register containing:
- members
- positions
- meetings
- correspondence
- reported financial support
- policy activities
Names should be tied to specific dates because institutional affiliation can change.
A person's simultaneous membership in two groups should be classified as overlapping membership unless stronger evidence establishes operational authority.
79. Audit corporate succession and ownership#
The Vanguard allegation is a useful example.
A future investigator should identify the actual corporate entities involved, examine historical filings, distinguish registered and beneficial ownership, and search for the claimed succession documents.
One should also distinguish ownership of a fund from ownership of its management company.
The same method applies to other alleged corporate empires.
80. Test causal influence on political decisions#
Investigating policy influence requires more than finding similarities between an organization's published ideas and later laws.
A stronger case might include:
- documented meetings
- draft legislation
- correspondence
- funding
- public testimony
and evidence of how a proposal entered government decision-making.
The existence of influence should be evaluated proportionately.
A successful lobbying campaign is not equivalent to total ownership of the government.
81. Use a falsification test#
For each major allegation, investigators should ask:
What evidence would make us lower our confidence in this claim?
A theory becomes weaker when it cannot specify any possible evidence that would count against it.
This is especially important for allegations that explain every apparent disagreement among governments as staged conflict.
A defensible conclusion must be open to correction.
82. Maintain a transparent correction record#
A published version of this paper should identify its research date, document revisions, distinguish original claims from later additions, and preserve links to important source materials.
If a source becomes unavailable, its:
- title
- author
- date
- archival identifier
should remain in the bibliography.
If a conclusion changes, the correction should explain why.
That transparency would strengthen the work considerably.
PART EIGHTEEN — RESEARCH LIMITATIONS#
There are several limitations that should be acknowledged plainly.
The original infographic does not provide its own source documentation.
Its authorship has not been established by this investigation.
The historical research relies on available published:
- institutional records
- scholarly material
- primary legal documents
- documentary investigations
It does not amount to an exhaustive review of all surviving private archives.
Some of the most interesting alleged networks operated through informal relationships, making complete reconstruction difficult.
An organization might have exerted influence not reflected in its formal charter.
Conversely, evidence that two influential individuals attended the same meeting may reveal little about their actual political influence.
No investigation should confuse institutional self-description with proof of complete innocence.
But an allegation must still have enough evidentiary support to justify belief.
These qualifications do not invalidate the central finding.
They define its scope.
The historical sources reviewed establish particular:
- institutions
- dates
- legal relationships
- examples of political influence
They do not establish the comprehensive command hierarchy depicted in the graphic.
PART NINETEEN — FINAL ANALYSIS#
83. What the image gets right#
The infographic directs attention toward historically significant institutions.
The Roman Empire deeply influenced later European law and politics.
The Catholic Church and associated religious orders have long institutional histories.
The British Empire exercised extensive colonial power.
The East India Company combined commercial activity with imperial governance.
The Rhodes-Milner network and Round Table movement participated in debates over imperial political organization.
The Fabian Society exerted ideological influence.
Le Cercle and other private policy networks deserve investigation.
Banking and investment institutions can exercise substantial economic and political influence.
Governments have sometimes conducted covert operations.
None of these subjects should be dismissed merely because they also appear in conspiratorial presentations.
84. Where the image goes wrong#
The infographic repeatedly converts the existence of an organization into an assumption about its position within a unified command structure.
It treats diverse:
- religious
- political
- legal
- financial
bodies, as though they share a single type of authority.
It compresses centuries of history.
It assigns historical creation to organizations that did not yet exist.
It conflates influence with ownership, and ownership with universal control.
It labels sovereign countries as colonies without establishing actual colonial jurisdiction.
Its strongest claims are often supported by its weakest evidence.
The result is not a reliable organizational chart.
It is a visual theory of history whose most consequential relationships remain unproved.
85. Why the distinction matters#
The danger of a universal conspiracy explanation is not simply that some of its facts may be inaccurate.
It may also obscure the actual workings of power.
British imperialism becomes harder to study if its identifiable policies and institutions disappear into an undefined eternal dynasty.
Financial concentration becomes harder to evaluate if:
- ownership
- fiduciary management
- central banking
and government authority are treated as the same thing.
Covert intervention becomes harder to prove if a suspected connection is regarded as sufficient evidence without documents.
Accountability depends on identifying actual actors and mechanisms.
Historical understanding requires the ability to distinguish specific wrongdoing from generalized suspicion.
CONCLUSION — WHO REALLY RULES THE WORLD?#
The question is compelling because worldly power is real, often unequal, and sometimes concealed.
But the available evidence does not support the claim that a single continuous Roman ruling dynasty commands:
- the Vatican
- British Crown
- religious orders
- political ideologies
- international finance
- corporations
and nearly every sovereign state.
A more defensible picture is one of overlapping centers of power.
Governments possess legal authority within their jurisdictions.
Financial institutions exercise different forms of economic influence.
Religious organizations shape beliefs, communities, and sometimes political behavior.
Businesses influence:
- employment
- investment
- technology
- public policy
Private organizations and elite networks can connect influential individuals.
These structures sometimes cooperate, sometimes compete, and sometimes become involved in wrongdoing.
Their relationships are not all identical.
There is genuine value in investigating concentrations of power.
But the strongest investigation is the one that can demonstrate precisely who exercised power, how it was exercised, and what evidence supports the conclusion.
The Bible adds a further ethical responsibility.
John 7:24 — KJV
Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
And in 1 Thessalonians 5:21:
Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
Those passages should not be converted into claims of biblical endorsement for any modern political theory.
They can, however, inform an ethic of disciplined inquiry.
We should refuse to shield powerful institutions from legitimate examination.
We should refuse to accuse others without adequate grounds.
We should distinguish Scripture from speculative interpretation, historical records from historical theories, and evidence from visual suggestion.
The infographic begins with the claim that one hidden dynasty explains nearly everything.
The investigation ends with a more difficult but more useful conclusion:
Power must be traced, not merely imagined.
Connections must be demonstrated, not merely drawn.
And truth must remain more important than the appeal of any particular theory.
