Christianity's fundamental human division is not:

MKULTRA was real.

The CIA ran Project MKULTRA beginning in 1953 under an umbrella of research into behavioral modification. Declassified material and the 1977 Senate hearings document experimentation involving drugs and other behavioral-control techniques, including use of unwitting subjects in some cases. And even if Newton had been autistic, that would tell us precisely nothing about whether other humans lack souls.

The argument again confuses:

neurocognitive difference → metaphysical species difference.

This poster asks whether fasting or abstinence could alter your own perception of others, rather than causing others to detect your hidden spiritual state.

Exactly.

This is the principle of competing hypotheses.

For any unusual experience, ask:

What else could produce the same observation?

If hypothesis A is:

“NPCs psychically detect fasting,”

reasonable alternatives include:

This is the point where the theory becomes ethically revealing.

“Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.”

The thread contains increasingly categorical statements that members of this group share a hidden essence or unified behavior.

Whatever one's biblical view of sex, embodiment, medical intervention or sexual ethics, none of that produces evidence for soullessness.

A Christian may judge an act sinful without denying that the sinner is human.

That distinction is indispensable.

Paul doesn't say:

“We were the truly ensouled class while they were machines.”

He says:

“For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.” — Titus 3:3.

And what follows?

“But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared...”

The gospel destroys spiritual boasting because the Christian's position is not:

“I discerned that I was ontologically superior.”

It is:

“I also was deceived, and I required mercy.”

27. Jewish conspiracy claims#

The thread eventually moves from criticism of particular rituals to broad insinuations concerning Jews, media, pedophile rings and world control.

These claims are not supported by evidence presented in the thread.

One can investigate a specific person, institution, criminal network, financial relationship or historical event. Those are falsifiable propositions.

But:

“Jews run/control X”

converts millions of heterogeneous individuals into a collective causal agent.

It is analytically useless unless one supplies specific entities, actions, dates, documentary chains and counterexamples.

Romans again explicitly blocks ethnic spiritual superiority in either direction. Paul simultaneously recognizes Israel's historical significance and insists:

“What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise...”

28. No. 42942787 — another valuable skeptical point#

A poster says essentially:

you notice the obvious examples and miss the rest.

That's important.

If someone thinks they can identify every “NPC” by sight, we must ask about the denominator.

Suppose they remember 100 strange encounters.

How many thousands of ordinary-looking people did they encounter who produced no memorable event?

How many people classified as NPC would later surprise them?

How many supposed “player characters” would later behave conventionally?

At this stage the discussion becomes explicitly grandiose metaphysics: special individuals are God-Heads, architects, world-pattern creators or controllers of pawns.

Biblically this is very far from apostolic spirituality.

Paul, who describes extraordinary revelations, immediately places a guardrail around himself:

“...lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations...” — 2 Corinthians 12:7.

Governments really have conducted secret unethical programs—MKULTRA being an indisputable example.

And some individuals really are unusually intelligent or perceptive.

All of that gives the theory a strong substrate of truth.

The problem is the transition from those observations to:

“therefore biologically normal-looking people may literally lack individual souls.”

No evidence presented crosses that gap.

The worldview then protects itself through several mechanisms.

Pattern amplification#

Once “NPC” becomes an interpretive category, ordinary coincidences acquire meaning:

someone appears on a trail → spawned observer.

someone dislikes fasting → detected aura.

someone repeats an opinion → hivemind.

someone moves unusually → different ontological type.

a checkerboard appears in Mario → Masonic conditioning.

a cartoon contains “Masonic the Hedgehog” → retrospective confirmation of the whole symbolism theory.

demand extraordinary proof.

NPC theory:

subjective recognition is enough.

MKULTRA documentation:

A genuine truth-seeking method applies skepticism to preferred explanations too.

Identity reward#

The theory divides humanity into:

sleeping/common/herd/soulless

versus

Dehumanization#

This is the most serious feature.

38. The decisive Scripture issue: does the Bible teach “NPCs”?#

I find no biblical warrant for a naturally soulless subclass of apparently ordinary human beings.

Scripture absolutely teaches distinctions:

righteous/wicked;

believer/unbeliever;

wise/foolish;

spiritual/carnal;

children of God/children of disobedience;

sheep/goats;

saved/lost.

But these are not equivalent to:

human person / biological automaton.
