Testing Every Claim: A Biblical & Evidence-Based Reassessment of Spiritual Warfare, Conspiracy, Election & the Gospel
VCG @ LOR 7/11/2026
Jesus Christ is the only Saviour and the true light of the world.
The God whom Jesus reveals is not a rival to the LORD of the Old Testament,
but the God of:
- Abraham
- Isaac
- Jacob
—the Father who sent the Son for our salvation.
The present world is deeply corrupted by human sin and satanic deception, yet Satan is not sovereign.
The earth remains the Lord’s, Christ possesses all authority in heaven and earth, and believers are called not to fear, speculation, or indiscriminate accusation,
but to:
- truth
- holiness
- love
- prayer
- sober judgment
- faithful witness
Christ died for our sins, rose again, and calls all people to repent and believe the gospel.
Salvation is by grace through faith, not by works; genuine faith nevertheless produces:
- repentance
- love
- obedience
- good works
Christians differ over how divine election and human response relate, so these matters should be handled with reverence and without claiming more certainty than the whole counsel of Scripture permits.
Spiritual evil is real, but Scripture does not authorize believers to diagnose every:
- illness
- emotion
- social problem
or unexplained event as demonic.
Prayer and pastoral care should be joined with:
- wisdom
- accountability
- appropriate medical or psychological care
The name of Jesus is not an incantation or technique under human control; all authority belongs to Christ.
Our task is therefore to:
- test every claim
- reject falsehood
- speak truth in love
- avoid prejudice and false accusation
- care for suffering people
- preach Christ crucified and risen
and humbly acknowledge that we know in part.
