Under special relativity, the speed of light in vacuum is a limiting speed for ordinary local motion of massive objects. The thread often has stronger evidence for the experience than for the interpretation, stronger evidence for the interpretation than for the cosmology, and almost no evidence for the technological/conspiracy conclusions.
